What You Will Be Doing

This exciting grade 2 exercise physiologist opportunity is within our Adult NDIS team, Community Health. The therapist will assist adult NDIS participants to achieve their goals by providing person-centred therapy programs across a range of treatment modalities including early intervention, health promotion and prevention programs, and self-management strategies.

The exercise physiology role also includes provision of capacity building interventions, such as holistic participant and carer support and education. Permanent part time, negotiable hours.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
•Registration and accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) (essential)
•Current Victorian driver’s license (essential).
•Sound knowledge of current exercise physiology theory, practice and capacity-building approaches applicable to NDIS participants (essential)
• Previous experience working with NDIS participants in a multidisciplinary community setting(desirable)

Selection Criteria Essential: Registration and accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)

Essential: Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, evaluate, modify and advance exercise/ physical activity programs

Essential: Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
Desirable: Previous experience working with NDIS participants in a multidisciplinary community setting
Desirable: Previous experience in aquatic therapy, or working with clients with a cognition or communication impairment
