Position Summary
Peninsula Health is offering an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to gain their Graduate Diploma of Midwifery on a fixed term part time basis. This is a 16 month, 32 hours per fortnight program in which we deliver the practical experience, clinical support and knowledge while our partner University, Deakin, will provide you with the theoretical underpinnings.

Peninsula Health welcomes more than 2800 babies into the world each year in the integrated Women's Health Unit. A variety of models provide comprehensive antenatal care.

*Applicants must have completed a Graduate Nurse Program and meet Essential Criteria.*

Selection Criteria Essential: Current NMBA registration as a Division 1 nurse who has completed a Graduate Nurse Porgram

Essential: Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team engaging with consumers from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds
Essential: Demonstrated commitment to delivering a high standard of person centred care
Essential: Able to use basic computer software applications
Essential: Must be available to work across all shifts
Desirable: Well-developed communication skills
Desirable: Accepts responsibility for own actions and is proactive and self-starting.
