What You Will Be Doing Peninsula Health, Frankston Hospital is looking for a Paediatrician to be part of the acute on-call team. Peninsula Health has a diverse range of presentations and the expanding population means that this is an increasingly busy unit.
This position is based at Frankston Hospital. The successful applicant provides consultant cover to the 15 bed Children’s Ward and 13 bed Special Care Unit and Admissions from the Emergency Department. There is 24 hour Registrar cover but the applicant needs to be available for Emergency neonatal deliveries within 30 minute timeframe. In order to provide ongoing care following admission, a monthly general paediatric clinic is also part of the role. The position is due to commence in January 2021.
What You Need We anticipate that you will have: - Medical Practitioner Registered in Australia. - FRACP ( Paediatrics) - Recent completion of APLS and/ or neonatal resuscitation courses - Relevant experience in management of neonatal and paediatric issues - Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence based practice - Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary clinical team - Teaching skills.
