What You Will Be Doing Vacancies exist within our Casual Occupational Therapy bank at Peninsula Health for the acute and subacute inpatient services. The position requires weekday availability.
The casual Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing excellent, evidence-based occupational therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses including medical and surgical conditions, orthopaedics, dementia, stroke and general deconditioning. Intervention may be on an individual or group basis, within the hospital or patient’s home and include all areas of occupational performance relevant to the patient’s goals for discharge
Key Responsibilities • Clinical responsibilities according to service needs, as determined in conjunction with the Head of Occupational Therapy and Senior Occupational Therapist, including consideration for areas of specific clinical competence, prior experience and operational requirements. • Support for quality consumer care through evidence based, multidisciplinary communication and team work. • Provision of clinical cover to flexibly support occupational therapy services across sites and services.
What You Need We anticipate you will have:
The ability to provide occupational therapy assessment, intervention and discharge planning with a flexible approach and excellent communication skills are essential skills for this position.
Applicants (Grade 1 or Grade 2) interested in part time, full time or limited term work are encouraged to apply.
