Position Summary
Peninsula Health has an exciting Part-Time opportunity for an Outreach Worker to join the SHARPS Needle Syringe Program (NSP). Casual Positions also available.
SHARPS NSP program operates within the context of a Harm Reduction philosophy that works with current injecting illicit drug users, providing clean injecting equipment, referral, brief intervention in a range of areas and health promotion.

We support and encourage individuals to make better health and lifestyle options.


Desirable Criteria
Have a commitment and understanding of Harm Reduction as it relates to injecting drug users. Ability to work effectively with marginalised individuals and advocate on their behalf.

Selection Criteria Essential: Current Victorian Drivers License Certificate IV in Drug and Alcohol. Understanding of Harm Reduction as it applies to Injecting Drug Users (IDUs)
Desirable: Availability to work casual shifts on call as required Understanding of HIV and Hepatitis C
