Advertisement text The Mornington Centre is a modern, 90 bed facility which provides patient-centred and interdisciplinary care for patients requiring a period of assessment and rehabilitation to optimise function and determine future care needs.

Position Summary
This role requires advanced Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning skills to provide high quality care to aged care patients with a range of diagnoses and complex co-morbidities. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing physiotherapy assessment and management to a largely orthopaedic inpatient caseload.

Key Responsibilities
To be considered for this role, you will possess a strong focus on patient centred care, have experience in supervision of other staff and students and demonstrate excellent time management, communication and organisational skills.

Selection Criteria Essential: Registration with the National Physiotherapy Registration Board (AHPRA)
Essential: Demonstrated experience as a Physiotherapist in Aged Care settings
Essential: Demonstrated competence in aged care physiotherapy
Essential: Capacity to supervise students, Grade 1 staff and Allied Health Assistants to promote professional competence and foster individual staff development
Essential: Demonstrated participation in Professional Development
Essential: Interest and/or experience in Quality improvement and research activities
Essential: Commitment to physiotherapy practise in an appropriate and professional manner
Essential: Leadership capacity
Desirable: Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
Desirable: Relevant post-graduate qualifications or working towards the same
