Vacancies exists based at Peninsula Health Adult Community Mental Health Service located on the Peninsula. You will be working within a dynamic service in the provision of care coordination to aid recovery in people suffering from mental illness across an array of diagnostic groups. In addition to this role, you will have the opportunity to utilise and enhance skills specific to your discipline.

You will have effective interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with consumers and carers and other service providers, demonstrated experience in assessment and management of persons with serious mental illness. .

Selection Criteria Essential: Current registration with relevant board.
Essential: Post Graduate Diploma in Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing or to have completed a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or a specialist post basic course of training which led to registration as a Division 3 Nurse
Essential: Demonstrated working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014, including: the mental health principles, the protections of rights (including working with Nominated Persons and Advance Statements).
Essential: Extensive experience (this would usually be at least 2 years) in the mental health field including inpatient services and/or community mental health care. Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers and demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills.
Essential: Demonstrated knowledge of the National Standards for Mental Health Services and the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards including EQuIP.
Essential: Working knowledge of discipline specific legislation relevant to clinical practice.
Desirable: Working knowledge of the Guardianship and Administration Board. Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004).
Essential: Current Drivers Licence.
Essential: Prepare written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
Essential: Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
