Our hospitals and emergency departments are located at Frankston and Rosebud, and we provide a wide range of community health, dental, rehabilitation, mental health, palliative care and aged care services from campuses at Frankston, Hastings, Mornington, Mount Eliza and Rosebud.

Position Summary
We are seeking suitably experienced Dental Assistants to complement our professional and caring multi-disciplinary team. We are seeking applicants for casual contracts commencing July 2017. These casual positions are based across our four dental sites; Frankston, Hastings, Rosebud and Carrum Downs.

The Dental Assistant is a key member of the wider multi-disciplinary dental team. This role not only provides efficient and effective support for clinicians, but also contributes to the smooth running of the dental reception and the delivery of quality customer service to our clients and their families.

Department Summary
The Peninsula Health – Community Dental Program operates 23 chairs over 4 separate sites; providing General, Specialist and Emergency dental care to those residing and holidaying on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula.

Essential Criteria
The successful applicant will have a Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (or Equivalent), excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, experience working in a supportive team environment; and be able to demonstrate competency and commitment to customer service and client engagement.

Selection Criteria Essential: Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent
Essential: Current working with children and police checks (or willing to obtain)
Essential: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Essential: Demonstrated ability to exercise time management skills whilst maintaining high level of quality care and attention to detail.
Desirable: Experience working in front of house dental reception environment
Desirable: Knowledge of titanium dental software
