Position Summary
As Enrolled Nurse, you will work closely with clients and carers, within the multidisciplinary team to provide recovery-orientated mental health care to clients of the Acute Adult Inpatient Unit.
Peninsula Health Mental Health Service is committed to valuing and respecting clients and has invested significant recourses into this inpatient service to improve the care and the clients experience in the inpatient setting.
Applicants will require experience in working in mental health, preferably in an Acute setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document comprehensive nursing care within the area in accordance with best practice and Peninsula Health values.
• Ensure the safety of the public, patients and staff in relation to the provision of a safe environment from both OH&S and Infection Control Perspectives.
• Complete all mandatory training as per hospital policy and participate in organised training and development activities.
Essential Criteria
• Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience.
• Demonstrated experience in a Mental Health inpatient setting
• Awareness and understanding of the Mental Health Act
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Able to use basic computer software applications.
• Prepares written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
• Communicates well with and relates to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of Recovery Orientated practice in Mental Health Care
