What You Will Be Doing

The Peninsula Health Mental Health Service (PHMHS) Psychiatric Assessment and Planning Unit (PAPU) Manager and Patient Bed Flow Coordinator is an integral part of the leadership team committed to upholding Peninsula Health’s values and meeting organisational goals.

PAPU is a 6 bed short stay (up to 72 hours) unit working collaboratively with the Frankston Emergency Department the Community Mental health Program.
The Manager will have primary responsibility for the leadership of PHMHS staff working in PAPU, implementing operational requirements of the service and the overall delivery of clinical services to the clients of PAPU. The Manager is responsible for the management and allocation of Mental Health beds during business hours.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Post graduate qualification in mental health or completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric / mental health nursing program
• Experience in a leadership or management role
• Minimum 5 years’ mental health experience
• Advanced leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead in complex environments

*Please refer to salary circular for VICTORIAN PUBLIC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
