What You Will Be Doing
The Associate Unit Manager (ANUM) is a valued member of the leadership team at Peninsula Health, committed to upholding Peninsula Health Values and meeting organisational goals.
The ANUM supports the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and when required acts in their role to ensure effective management and leadership across the department. The ANUM works with the NUM to supervise the delivery of safe, evidence based, person centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Limited Term Full Time position - 2 year contract
Key Responsibilities: • Working collaboratively with the NUM, the ANUM assists with the leadership and management of the team to achieve high quality clinical care in accordance with evidence based practice standards and Peninsula Health Values • Ensures the safety of the public, patients and staff in relation to the provision of relevant Acts (OH&S and Infection Control) and Peninsula Health policies. • Works with the NUM to ensure all administrative functions are completed including management of recourses with in the Department. • Assists the NUM to promote a culture of continuous service improvement within the Department by monitoring standards of service and practice • In conjunction with the NUM ensures all staff have completed mandatory training and have active performance management plans.
What You Need We anticipate you will have: • General registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency - Essential • Extensive clinical and operational experience - Essential • Experience as an effective member of a senior management team - Essential • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Health Administration or Public Health (or working towards same) - Desirable

*Please refer to salary circular for NURSES AND MIDWIVES (VICTORIAN PUBLIC HEALTH SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2020 - 2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
This role must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the Peninsula Health immunisation policy.
