What You Will Be Doing

Ward 1 West is a 15 bed acute inpatient mental health unit for consumers aged 65 years and over. It is located at the Frankston Hospital nearby to George Pentland Botanical Gardens and minutes walk from the beach. The ward comprises of a small multidisciplinary team who work closely with consumers to support them on their recovery journey.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a valued and integral member of the Peninsula Health multidisciplinary team demonstrating flexibility in caring for patients and their families across the organisation. The RN works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence-based person centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes or a dignified death.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Prepares written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
• Able to use basic computer software applications.

*Please refer to salary circular for VICTORIAN PUBLIC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
