Peninsula Health is keen to attract an up and coming Pain Medicine Physician as Head of Chronic Pain Services. That person needs to have a strong interest in developing and leading a cross-campus multidisciplinary service for chronic pain patients needing ambulatory or inpatient care.
We see this new role as a great opportunity for development of contemporary regional pain services, working with a motivated team.
Peninsula Health is a large bay-side organisation in south-east greater Melbourne, strongly linked with its community, and with well-developed acute, subacute and community services integration.
We are committed to improving access to pain services through innovation and contemporary care models, having recently undergone a service review. There is strong endorsement within medical and allied health groups at Peninsula Health for this innovation, and the applicant will be supported by the Executive Director of Medical Services and other service leads in building the model under the direction of the Head of Service.
